Box Score Wichita, Kan. – The McPherson College women’s soccer team posted another defensive gem on Saturday evening as the Bulldogs turned in their second consecutive shutout with a 0-0 double overtime tie on the road at Friends University.
With the tie, McPherson’s record goes to 5-4-3 overall (2-1-2 KCAC), while Friends University’s record moves to 4-5-3 (0-1-3 KCAC).
Junior goalkeeper Andrea Swanson played all 110 minutes in goal for the Bulldogs recording four saves, improving her season record to 5-2-3 on the season. Swanson has recorded 40 saves, while allowing only nine goals in 10 games this season.
McPherson dominated the shot count, 13-6, while freshman defender Rachelle Mascaro recorded a season high six shots, including five on goal.
Midfielder Amy Brickman who finished the contest with three shots led the Friends University Falcons.
McPherson returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 21, with a 5:00 p.m. match with Southwestern College
