Volleyball struggles continue against Bethel College

Box Score McPherson, Kan. – The McPherson College volleyball team lost to Bethel College in three set 3-0 (16-25, 11-25, 21-25) Thursday night at the McPherson College Sport Center.

The loss drops the Bulldog’s record to 4-13 (3-5 KCAC), while Bethel improves to 10-9 (7-1 KCAC)

McPherson sophomore Amy Neufeld led the Bulldogs with five kills with just one error in 13 total attacks for a .308 hitting percentage. Freshman Natalie Boss also finished the contest with five kills. Sophomore Brooke Wedel recorded 15 digs for her third straight match with double-digit digs.

McPherson struggled putting the ball down in the first two sets tallying only 14 kills, allowing the Threshers to take an early two set led in the match. The Bulldogs came out with some fire in the third set, but could not overcome the consistent play of the Threshers dropping set three 21-25.

The Bulldogs play again October 12 at home against Kansas Wesleyan University at the McPherson College Sport Center. The match is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
