McPherson, Kan. – The McPherson College women’s soccer team outshot the Threshers 21-5, but failed to net the game winning goal as the match ended in a scoreless draw, 0-0, Wednesday night at McPherson Stadium.
The tie moves McPherson’s record to 4-6-2 on the season and 1-2-1 in conference action, while the Threshers improve to 1-8-3 overall and 0-2-2 in KCAC play.
The Bulldogs tallied nine shots on goal, including two from Laurel Gillespie (Raymore, Mo.) and Richelle Mascaro (Tujunga, Calif.). Haley Cook (Littleton, Colo.) led the team with six shots.
McPherson goalkeeper Molly Whitwell (Plano, Texas) recorded three saves in 110 minutes of action.
MC held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
McPherson returns to action Saturday night when they host Friends University. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. at McPherson Stadium.
