Sterling, Kan. – The McPherson College women’s soccer team fell, 2-0, at Sterling College Wednesday afternoon in Sterling, Kan.
The loss drops the Bulldogs to 5-7-2 overall and 2-3-1 in KCAC play, while the Warriors improve to 8-6-1 and 3-2-1 in conference action.
The Warriors seized the early advantage in the 10th minute Kylie Yates netted a goal in the 10th minute off an assist from Morgan Martin. Yates struck again in the 77th minute to propel SC to the 2-0 win.
Sterling outshot the Bulldogs on the day, 20-14. The Bulldogs registered 10 shots on goal in the match.
Senior forward Haley Cook (Littleton, Colo.) led the Bulldog offense with five shots, including three shots on goal.
The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, Oct. 23 when they travel to Bethany College. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
