Hillsboro, Kan. – The McPherson College volleyball team dropped a hard fought Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament match, 3-1 Tuesday evening at Tabor College.
McPherson (20-13, 11-7) came out of the gate firing on all cylinders, as the Bulldogs defeated Tabor (16-14, 12-6) 25-16 in set one. However, the Blue Jays battled back by winning the next three and the match 25-21, 25-19, 27-25.
Unanimous All-KCAC first team selection, Kory Hiebert (Goessel, Kan.) led the Bulldog attack with a career-high 21 kills to go along with a .475 hitting percentage, while sophomore Natalie Boss (Waterville, Kan.) chipped in nine kills in the effort. Setter Brelynn Schloo (Salina, Kan.) recorded a double-double with a team-leading 22 assists and 13 digs with Kelley Green (Brighton, Colo.) posting 14 assists and eight digs.

Brooke Wedel (Moundridge, Kan.) registered 13 digs respectively.
As a team, McPherson recorded a .179 hitting percentage and eight total team blocks.
With the loss, MC ends the season with a 20-13 overall record and 11-7 mark in KCAC play. The Bulldog’s 20 wins are 12 more than a year ago.
