Lindsborg, Kan. – The McPherson College volleyball team snapped a three-match losing streak by sweeping Bethany College, 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-12), in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Monday evening at Hahn Gymnasium.
With the victory, the Bulldogs improve to 9-15 overall, including a 6-8 mark in KCAC action, while the Swedes fall to 2-20 overall and 1-13 in conference action.
Junior setter
Hannah Hoffman (Bendena, Kan.) posted her second double-double with a career-high 23 sets and 13 digs, while senior middle hitter
Kory Hiebert (Goessel, Kan.) posted a team leading 12 kills and .571 hitting percentage. Sophomore middle hitter
Emily Girard (Osborne, Kan.) joined Hiebert in double-figures with a season-high 10 kills, while junior outside hitter
Natalie Boss (Waterville, Kan.) chipped in with nine kills, respectively.
Defensively, senior libero
Brooke Wedel (Moundridge, Kan.) had 11 digs, while junior defensive specialist
Tiffany Rooker (Hillsboro, Kan.) added 10 digs in the effort.
Alexa Gerber led the Swedes with nine kills, while Theresa Reed dished out 24 assists.
