McPherson, Kan. –
The McPherson College volleyball team looks to add to its current two game win streak when the Bulldogs travel to Ottawa University on Friday, Oct. 28 for a 7 p.m. (CST) start at Wilson Field House. The match can be seen live via the Ottawa University channel of the KCAC Broadcast Network. With a McPherson victory, MC will move into a tie with the Braves for the No. 6 spot in the KCAC standings.

In their previous match, the Bulldogs (10-15, 7-8 KCAC) outlasted Bethel College 3-1 on Wednesday night. The victory marks the first time MC has defeated Bethel since Sept. 28, 2006.

Senior middle hitter Amy Neufeld (Hillsboro, Kan.) had a career night with 17 kills on 37 attempts, while fellow senior Kory Hiebert (Goessel, Kan.) chipped in 15 kills in the effort. Additionally, senior setter Brelynn Schloo (Salina, Kan.) posted her eighth double-double of the season with 20 assists and 11 digs, while junior setter Hannah Hoffman (Bendena, Kan.) dished out a match-high 27 assists, respectively.

Much like the Bulldogs, Ottawa comes into Friday’s match riding a two-match win streak following a pair of sweeps against Bethany College and the University of Saint Mary. The Braves are 12-14 overall, including an 8-7 mark in the KCAC. McPherson swept Ottawa, 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-21), in the two sides first meeting back on Oct. 1.

After Ottawa, McPherson wraps up the regular season with road matches against the University of Saint Mary (Oct. 31) and at Sterling College (Nov. 2).
