Ottawa, Kan. – The McPherson College women’s soccer team and the Ottawa University Braves played to a 0-0 draw Saturday evening at People’s Bank Field in Ottawa, Kan.
With the decision, McPherson goes to 5-6-1 overall and 2-0-1 in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play, while Ottawa is now 3-7-2 overall and 1-1-1 in league play.

Molly Whitwell (Plano, Texas) had a tremendous night with 10 saves in 110 minutes to preserve the goalless draw. Senior defender
Whitney Smith (South Jordan, Utah) led MC with three shots, while four other Bulldogs tallied at least one shot.
Ottawa held a 27-8 advantage in shots and a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.
Forward Kelsey Hanna led the Braves with nine shots, including five on frame.
McPherson returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 12 when they travel to Bethel College. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Thresher Stadium.
