Denver, Colo. – The McPherson College men’s basketball team forced 21 Firestorm turnovers, as the Bulldogs defeated Arizona Christian University, 82-76, Saturday evening in MC’s final game of the 2011 Wildcat Classic.
The win improves McPherson to 4-0 on the year, while Arizona Christian falls to 0-1 overall.
In the first half, McPherson went into the locker room with a 33-31 lead after holding ACU to just nine first half field goals, while forcing 11 turnovers. The Bulldogs continued their aggressive play in the second half, forcing another 10 Firestorm turnovers en route to the six-point victory.
As a team, the Bulldogs finished the contest shooting 50 percent (29-of-58) from the field, including an 8-of-18 effort from beyond the 3-point line. McPherson struggled at times with ball control, committing 14 turnovers on the evening.
Senior guard
Aaron Frazier (McPherson, Kan.) led all Bulldog scorers with 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting and a perfect 5-for-5 effort from the charity stripe. Additionally, Frazier recorded eight rebounds and six steals. Senior forward

Samson Shivers (Houston, Texas) joined Frazier in double figures, as Crawford scored 20 points, while Shivers chipped in with 16 points. Shivers led the Bulldogs with three 3-point baskets.
Joshua Cole led ACU in scoring with 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including 4-of-4 from three.
