Lindsborg, Kan. – Lady Bulldog volleyball made the short trip up old highway 81 to Lindsborg, Kansas and took down the Bethany Swedes 3-0 on Wednesday, improving to 6-20 overall and 6-8 in the KCAC.
The victory was a full team effort by McPherson, giving them their first conference win in nearly two weeks. The Lady Swedes put up a fight in the opening game but could not keep up with MC for the final two, giving the Lady Bulldogs the 3-0 win (25-21, 25-16, 25-14).
Tori Phelan (Rangely, Colo.) was the leading kill-getter on Wednesday, putting 10 balls down on her opponent’s side of the net. The freshman duo of Cortlyne Huppe (Florence, Colo.) and Aubrey Hoover (Pratt, Kan.) combined for 15 kills, eight and seven respectively.
Rachel Phillips (Maize, Kan.) tallied 17 assists while Hannah Hoffman (Bendena, Kan.) added 11.
A triangular match awaits McPherson College in Kansas City, Missouri on October 13th against Avila University and Missouri Valley College. Their first game is at 2:00 p.m. (CT) against MVC.
