McPherson, Kan. – MC volleyball made the long trek up to Ottawa, Kan., only to be taken down 0-3 by the Ottawa University Lady Braves who are the KCAC’s top volleyball team.  The loss ends McPherson's three-game winning streak and puts them at 9-23 for the year and 6-9 against conference opponents.

The Lady Bulldogs were able to hang with Ottawa for the start of the match but then the sheer overpowerness of the Lady Braves offense was too much for MC’s back row to handle.  21 attacking errors were not helping McPherson either.

One Bulldog made it into double figures for the match; Aubrey Hoover (Pratt, Kan.) had eight kills and two solo blocks, leading the team in both categories.  Tori Phelan (Rangely, Colo.) posted eight kills as well in the loss; she also had the team’s lone service ace.

Rachel Phillips (Maize, Kan.) recorded 11 assists in the loss while Hannah Hoffman (Bendena, Kan.) logged 10.

Three matches remain for McPherson volleyball and their final home game is the next contest on the docket.  The Lady Bulldogs will take on Kansas Wesleyan on Monday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m. (CT) in the McPherson Sports Center.
