North Newton, Kan. – The Lady Bulldogs are now on a three-game winning streak after taking down Haskell Indian Nations University 67-64 on Saturday.  MC lost to HINU in the first game of the season so the win tastes twice as sweet.

MC came out of the locker room and quickly extended their lead to double-digits but was never able to fully break away.  The Lady Indians took their first lead of the game nearly halfway through the period but could only get ahead by three points.  The two squads would go back and forth for the next few possessions but the Lady Bulldogs took the control back and led for the final four minutes, holding off any type of HINU assault.  A last second shot by Haskell was off the mark, giving McPherson the 67-64 victory.

The Indians drained 15-of-27 from the floor for a 55.6 shooting percentage; only two three-point attempts were shot by HINU in the period, they missed both.  Haskell hit their shots from the charity stripe, going 10-of-15 for the half and 16-of-22 for the game.  McPherson shot a very solid 50% from distance, making 3-of-6 for the period and 7-of-14 for the contest; they were 13-of-30 from the floor, hitting 43.3% of their shots.  A season-low 13 turnovers were given up by MC; they forced 17 from the Lady Indians.
