Sterbick Resigns from Head Football Coaching Position

McPherson, Kan. –McPherson College Director of Athletics Doug Quint announced on Saturday that Pete Sterbick has resigned as the Head Football Coach at McPherson College, effective immediately. 

"We thank Coach Sterbick for his service to McPherson College and wish him well with his future endeavors," commented Quint, McPherson College Director of Athletics.

Current Defensive Coordinator Steve Fox has been named acting Head Coach effective immediately.  "We have an excellent staff in place and strive for a seamless transition moving forward," Quint said.

In his two years at the helm of the Bulldog football team, Sterbick accumulated a 9-11 overall record with eight wins and nine losses coming against KCAC opponents.  He coached 24 all-conference athletes, including four first team winners as well as five Academic All-District performers and the two-time Capital One-CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year in 2013 graduate Jake Snodgrass.

Sterbick joined the MC staff on February 27th of 2012 after being the offensive coordinator for Grand View University (Iowa) for four seasons.
