McPherson, Kan. – Tomorrow is an important day for McPherson College soccer, both the men's and women's squads. The Bulldogs play host to county-rival Bethany College with the men's match starting at 3:00 p.m. (CT) in the Kennel and the women's following at 5:30 at McPherson Stadium.
For the men, a win will give them at least a share of the 2014 KCAC Regular Season Championship and guarantee them the No. 1 seed at the upcoming KCAC postseason tournament. Kansas Wesleyan is also 7-0-1 heading into their match with the University of Saint Mary. This would be the first championship for the Bulldogs since 2009.
On the women's side, with a victory over BC, the Lady 'Dogs would earn a spot in the conference tournament as the No. 6 seed. The team faced elimination last Saturday when they played Southwestern College, the current sixth seed, but found a way to win 3-2 on an Amy Stockton game-winning goal. Only six teams make it to postseason play in soccer.
Be sure to come support your Bulldogs. Men at 3:00 in the Kennel and women at 5:30 at McPherson Stadium; the women's match is also Senior Night.
