McPherson, Kan. – Senior Night for Lady Bulldog softball was also the final regular season KCAC game of the year as MC took on the Tabor College Blue Jays; TC took the first 5-1 but Mac responded with a 7-2 victory in game two.  The Dirt 'Dogs are now 7-11 in the conference this season and have claimed the seven seed in the upcoming KCAC postseason tournament.

Game 1 – vs. Tabor College – L 5-1

Two bad innings for McPherson spelled disaster in the opening game of the DH.  In the third inning and again in the fifth, errors plagued the Bulldogs which allowed TC to put up five runs between the two, only one being earned.  Mac scored their lone run in the fourth.

Five different Bulldogs made it on with a hit in the loss; Cassandra Moreno (Wichita, Kan.) got on twice, once on a hit and another by getting hit by a pitch.  Jenna Kaiser (Billings, Mont.) was responsible for the sole RBI as she hit in Mariah Wedel (McPherson, Kan.).

Kaila Atkinson (Magnolia, Texas) started at the mound for the first game and threw for four and two-thirds before being relieved; the senior gave up all five runs on five hits and one walk.  Kaiser closed out the contest, pitching to nine different Jays.

Game 2 – vs. Tabor College – W 7-2

Despite getting out hit 11-to-7, McPherson was able force a series split with their game two performance.  The 'Dogs put two up on the board in the second, four more in the fourth and their final run in the fifth; Tabor would get one across the plate in both the sixth and seventh innings but it was too little, too late as MC coasted to a 7-1 triumph.

Amanda Darrow (Jasper, Mo.) had a perfect game, going 2-of-2, with a homerun, and drawing a walk in her third plate appearance.  Five others had one hit with Whitney Miller (Valley Center, Kan.) and Emily Davis (McPherson, Kan.) also getting on once with walks.

Pitching five and a third inning and picking up the win was Kaiser who threw 75 pitches before coming out; she allowed just one run on 10 hits while striking out three.  Ciara Archer (Denver, Colo.) made her return on Tuesday, pitching in both games; she finished out game two, surrendering a homerun but putting out the other six she faced.

MC now has a Wednesday doubleheader with Central Christian scheduled for April 23rd; the first pitch is set for 5:00 p.m. (CT) at Wall Park in McPherson.
