Box Score Hastings, Neb. – The Lady 'Dogs started their Nebraska trip off with a tough 3-1 loss to AIB College of Business on Saturday in a neutral site competition.
It took over 40 minutes for the first goal of the match and shortly after AIB slotted one in, Mac's Rhea Vale powered in a penalty kick to score her fifth goal of the season, bringing things back to even heading into halftime.
The Lady Eagles got ahead 2-1 shortly into the second half and got another in the 52nd minute, giving them some cushion. Try as they might but McPherson couldn't find the back of the net in the second period, leaving them with a 3-1 defeat.
The Bulldogs took eight shots in the game and placed five on frame for an impressive shot-to-shot on goal ratio. Alia Khalidi and Vale each took a team-high two shots with both of Vale's going between the pipes.
Goal keeper Caitlyn Blagrave recorded four saves in her 90 minutes of action.
