Box Score Salt Lake City, Utah – It was a hard fought, 107 minute loss for Bulldog soccer as the lone goal of the match was scored by the University of Great Falls in the second overtime, giving the Argos the 1-0 win.
"Great Falls is a good side and our defensive got us to half-time," said Quint. "The adjustments we made at half time put us in a good position for a result today. In the second half we did a lot better job and created enough chances to get a result. We are certainly disappointed but this opponent challenged us and we learned some things about ourselves today."
It was a defensive game on Sunday between Great Falls and McPherson as just six shots were taken in the first and eight in the second; a total of eighteen tries were taken with Mac being responsible for just five total shots in the match.
The German, Alex Ronneburg, was the shot leader for the Bulldogs as he took a pair of shots at the goal with one being saved by the Argos' goalie. Oscar Cortez was the only other MC player to have a shot on frame.
Aaron Parrott logged five saves in the 100+ minute contest.
