Box Score Omaha, Neb. – For the second-straight weekend, the Lady Bulldog soccer team had to follow up a tough Saturday match with another on Sunday. This week, the unit faced Bellevue University and lost 5-1 in Nebraska.
The Bruins came out firing from the beginning and on their third shot of the game found the back of the net. Nearly 15 minutes later and BU was celebrating again with their second goal coming in the 33rd minute. The Lady 'Dogs cut their deficit in half right before the break as Rhea Vale punched in a corner kick from Jessica Dominguez. In the second, it was all Bellevue as they scored in the 51st, 74th, and 80th minute to give them the 5-1 outcome.
The Bulldogs took five shots for the match with both Gabriela Navarro and Rebekah Gallegos-Romero each taking two; Vale was the other Mac player to take a shot with her lone attempt ending in a goal.
Tori Verdieck got her second-straight start in goal and tallied seven saves for the 'Dogs.
Conference season is now upon McPherson; after a couple weeks of rest and recovery, they will face the Bethel Threshers on the 4th of October in North Newton.
