Box Score McPherson, Kan. – Bulldog soccer experienced their second-straight double overtime game, this one was against Johnson & Wales University of Denver, Colorado and it ended in a 1-1 draw. McPherson is now 4-3-1 on the year.
Purely based on statistics, Mac should have blown J&W out of the water as they outshot the Wildcats 31-12; the 'Dogs placed 12 on frame and saw their lone goal come in the 16th minute as Kevin Ndongo slotted in a Nick Torres pass. Johnson & Wales scored their goal in the 31st minute. The two clubs went scoreless for the next 79 minutes and the game ended with a 1-1 tie.
Alex Ronneburg took a team-high seven shots, putting three between the posts. Four others took four shots apiece; Oscar Cortez and Torres each placed two on target.
The Bulldogs implemented a two-goalie system with Aaron Parrott playing the first 45 minutes, allowing one goal and recording one save. Tanner Horton came in at halftime and finished out the match, tallying three saves.
MC has a trip to Manhattan, Kansas to face the Manhattan Christian College Crusaders on October 1st for their final non-conference match of the season; start time for the Wednesday contest is set for 6:00 p.m. (CT)
