McPherson, Kan. – It was Senior Night for the MC men's soccer team on Tuesday. The 'Dogs hosted the University of Saint Mary and put on a show for those in attendance. McPherson netted four balls in the first 24 minutes and went on to win 5-1. Mac's three seniors, Jose Angulo, Kevin Ndongo, and Morgan Quintana, each played a significant role in the victory.

Ndongo scored less than four minutes into the contest; the goal came on a nice move inside the box. 10 minutes later and Christopher Kelly blasted the netting for his first goal of the match, putting the 'Dogs ahead 2-0. Ndongo scored his second of the night in the 22nd minute off a Nick Torres pass. Less than three minutes had gone by and Omar Perez joined the scoring with a nice goal off another Torres ball. With just a couple minutes before the break, Kelly shot in a Greg Roller pass to give McPherson a 5-0 halftime advantage.
In the second, the Bulldogs played a lot of their reserve players and still kept pace with the varsity unit of Saint Mary. The Spires scored their lone goal of the night in the 69th minute, moving the score to 5-1. After the clock hit 90:00, McPherson had their 10th win of the season.
McPherson put up 15 shots in the match with nine going on target. The 'Dogs were led in shots by Ndongo who had five in the match; four were on target and the two went for a goal. Both of Kelly's two tries at goal went into the net.
German native Arthur Lamparter played the full 90 minutes in goal for MC. He logged one save and the one goal allowed.
The 10-8, 7-3 Bulldogs, thanks to an upset earlier in the day, are now the No. 3 seed in the conference's postseason tournament. Mac is set to host No. 6 Bethany College on Saturday the 7th at 7:00 p.m. (CT)
