Box Score 4 Wichita, Kan. – This past weekend, McPherson College softball competed in the Friends University Tournament. The Lady 'Dogs went 1-4 and are now 3-11 on the year.

Sunday Game 1 – 9-6 Hastings Box Score
In the first game on Sunday, the 'Dogs had a tough time stringing hits together. Trailing 4-0 after the third inning, MC exploded for six runs in the fourth to take a 6-4 advantage. Hastings posted one run in the fourth and two runs in both the fifth and sixth to take the game 9-6.
McPherson netted 13 hits in the game; Emily Davis tallied four hits in her four at bats including a double. Cassandra Moreno and Mariah Wedel each tabbed two hits while Sydney Lipton and Samantha both got aboard once on a hit and another time on a walk.
Mallory Fowler started the game on the mound for MC and went two innings before being relieved by Amanda Connell; Connell threw for three and a third and recorded the loss. Kaylee Lozier finished out the game, pitching for two-thirds innings.
Sunday Game 2 – 6-5 McPherson Box Score
MC took a 2-0 lead after the opening inning against Baker. Over the next two frames, the Wildcats tied it up and then took a 5-2 lead into the bottom of the sixth. Mac had another big inning as they scored four runs, jumping in front 6-5 with one inning to play. A clutch double-play ended the seventh with the 'Dogs on top 6-5.
Davis again had a solid contest as she went 4-of-4 from the plate including a walk. Savannah Lewis was 3-of-4, all were singles. Four others logged one hit in the win.
Lozier pitched her first complete game of the season; she threw to 33 batters, allowed 10 hits, three unearned runs, and two earned runs.
Sunday Game 3 – 10-0 Mid-America Christian Box Score
The Evangels scored four runs in the opening frame to jump in front early. The Bulldogs held MACU scoreless for the next three innings but Mid-America saw six cross the plate in the fifth to end the game short at 10-0.
Mac had a hard time getting runners on the bags as they netted just two hits and zero walks. Davis and Moreno were the lone 'Dogs to record a batted ball.
McPherson again pitched their complete group of pitchers; Fowler earned the loss.
MC will be back in action against Central Christian College on Wednesday, March 11 at Wall Park; start time of the doubleheader is 5:00 p.m. (CT)
