In their second game of the season, the McPherson women's basketball team beat their cross-town rival Central Christian College 75-53. The Bulldogs improved their record to 2-0 in doing so.
Â
This was a dominant game for McPherson, with them leading from the jump, as they opened the game on a 7-1 run. The Bulldogs never looked back after that, as they didn't give up the lead for the rest of the game. McPherson made a statement in this game, pouncing on CCC from the start.
Â
Sonerka White was once again the star on offense, as she scored a game-high 17 points.
Asya Tims was the second highest scorer for the Bulldogs, adding 11 points of her own.
Â
This was a dominant game on the boards for McPherson. The team tallied 56 total rebounds compared to CCC's 34. Both White and
Brittany Roberts had 11 rebounds, good for the team-high. The Bulldogs only recorded 8 total assists, a stat that didn't seem to matter as they won by 22 points.
Â
McPherson will try to take this momentum into their next game on Saturday, November 3rd as they take on Oklahoma Panhandle State University at 4:00 PM in the sports center.
