Bulldogs 2-0 at Friends Triangular

Wichita, Kan. - The Bulldogs were in action this weekend at the Garvey Center in Wichita for two matches. In the first match the Bulldogs pulled out another nail-biter against Friends University. The Bulldogs lost the first set, 25-20, but then rallied back in the second and third before losing the fourth, and winning the ultimate set 15-10. The Bulldogs had four aces on the day and also dominated the net scoring 64 kills. Sydney Burton (Jr. Stillwell, KS) had another great game racking up 18 kills. Kaitlyn Heinis (Sr. Oviedo, FL) was also outstanding serving up 32 assists.

In the second match of the day against Randall University the Bulldogs swept the Lady Saints in three sets, 25-10, 25-18, 25-13. This brings their record on the year to 11-7 and 3-1 in KCAC play. After some early season losses the team is rounding into shape and in this match they flexed their dominance. The Bulldogs were nearly flawless at the net, the team's combined hitting percentage was .303. The leader in the kills department was Alicia Hall (Sr. Aurora, CO) with 16, her overall hitting percentage was .500. Heinis again led the team with 26 assists.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday, October 9, on the road against Ottawa University at 7 pm.
