Ottawa, Kan. – After a two week hiatus, the McPherson College women's basketball team was back on the hardwood Monday evening, in a KCAC match-up, on the road against the Ottawa University Braves.
Coming off the long layover, the Bulldogs were a little rusty, falling to the Braves 86-78 and moving to 6-2 overall, and 3-2 in KCAC play.
The Braves had a slim lead at the halftime break, 33-30. With just over a minute left in the third period, the Bulldogs took their first lead since the opening quarter 56-55. It was short lived however as the Braves retook the lead on their next possession and never relinquished it again.

Coach Quote
"Tough night for us defensively. We were a step slow all night. Brittany had her normal game. Scoring 30 is normal I guess. Dy'mond and Maison had nice games too. Unfortunately foul trouble hurt us as the game was called fairly tight. No time to feel sorry for ourselves regroup and get after Bethany on Wednesday.
Next Up
As Coach Nichols alluded to, his Bulldogs will be back on the hardwood on Wednesday in a 1:00 pm match-up with intra-country rival Bethany College.
