Sterling, Kan. – The McPherson men's basketball team lost a close game to the Sterling Warriors 92-96. The loss moved the team to 18-7 with a 13-6 record in the KCAC.

The Bulldogs were in the game throughout. They trailed by four after the first half, 44-48. Lual Magot (Sr. Tucson, Ariz.) had another stellar game with 18 points and seven rebounds. Travon Shelvin (So. Pearland, Texas) also had 18 points and four assists. The Bulldogs shot 43% from the field in the first half. However, they only converted 5 out of 16 shots from three-point range.

The Bulldogs played the Warriors to a draw in the second half. They couldn't get stops on the defensive end, but they played well offensively. Delvon Hightower (Sr. Bakersfield, Calif.) didn't have one of his better offensive performances but still was able to accumulate 15 points and 6 rebounds.

"Sterling played a great game," said Bulldog head coach T.J. Eskildsen. 'We did not do a good job defending them, but credit to them for making plays when they needed to. We need to have a great two practices in preparation for a great Oklahoma Wesleyan team on Wednesday. I'm excited to see the response from this group"

The Bulldogs will play at Oklahoma Wesleyan next Wednesday night at 8.
