Salina, Kan. - The McPherson Women's basketball team lost to the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes Saturday night, 73-60. The loss moved the team to 12-16 on the season with an 8-14 record in the KCAC.

The Bulldogs offense stayed in first gear for most of the game. The team could only muster 13 points in the first two quarters. Brittany Roberts (Jr. Mansfield, Texas) had one of her most efficient performances of the year, putting up 29 points on 50% shooting. Roberts also dominated the boards she snatched 14. The only negative aspect of her performance was her day at the free-throw line. Roberts missed 10 of her 17 free-throws.

The Bulldogs rallied in the third quarter. They outscored the Coyotes in the period 19-17. The success didn't carry over into the fourth. Kansas Wesleyan scored 23 to the Bulldogs 15 in the final period. The Bulldogs shot 32% for the game, not exactly a recipe for success. Their highest scoring player other than Roberts was Tatum Griffin (Fr. Edmond, Okla.) who had nine. The Bulldogs 19 turnovers paved the way for the 23 points the Coyotes scored off of turnovers. Lack of ball movement, the Bulldogs only recorded six assists, sunk the 'Dogs hopes.

Individual Leaders:
