St. Louis, Mo. – It was another tough day on the defensive end of the floor for the McPherson College women's basketball team as they fell to the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy 94-85, to close out the fall semester.

The Bulldogs got a career high 37 points from Brittany Roberts, but it was not enough as the Eutectics' All-American Grace Beyer poured in 57 points, including 22 of 23 from the free throw line.

For the second game in a row, it was the middle two quarters that were the downfall for the Bulldogs. They trailed by just two points, 19-17 after the first 10 minutes of action, but troubles began to surface in the second quarter when they were out-scored by the Eutectics 23-17 to go into the break, down 42-34.

After the intermission, the deficit increased. The Eutectics won the third quarter 27-22 to lead 69-56 going into the final quarter. In the fourth, the Bulldogs were on the right side of the scoring advantage for the first time in the game, winning the period 29-25, but it wasn't enough to overcome the negative accumulation of the first three quarters.

Key Statistic

The Eutectics went to the free throw line 37 times, making 30 of their attempts while the Bulldogs were just 12 of 20.

By the Numbers
