The Bulldogs competed in the annual Mayors Cup against the cross town rival Central Christian College. The Women's team took a very early lead with the Bulldogs outscoring the Tigers in the first quarter 18-8. Going into the second half the Bulldogs lead 33-14. The Tigers came out hot in the second half but the Bulldogs still outscored them by 2. McPherson's first half lead was big enough to take the win 67-44. #3

Jheda Kennedy was close behind with 13. The Bulldogs have brought home the Mayors Cup for the 5th straight year and advance their record to 2-0
The Lady Bulldogs will face Northern New Mexico College on Friday at 6:00 PM at the Bulldog Classic.
The Men's team went into tonights contest 2-0 looking to take home the Mayors cup for the first time. The game did not start out will for the Tigers as a turnover resulted in the ball getting in the hands of #12 Owen Braxmeyer to put the Bulldogs on the board first. The Bulldogs just ran away with the lead in the first half 47-21. The Second half the Tigers fought back outscoring the Bulldogs 38-44, but just wasn't enough to take away the lead. McPherson takes home the Mayors Cup for the first time with the win 85-65. #12 Owen Braxmeyer lead the team with 21 points and #13
Christian Aguillard lead the team in rebounds with 10.
The Bulldogs will host Clarke University in the Bulldog classic at 8:00 PM.
