Box Score Sterling, Kan. – The McPherson College women's basketball team opened their final week of the regular season with a trip to Sterling, Kansas to take on the Sterling College Warriors, who clinched the KCAC regular season title last week.
The Bulldogs were down just a point, 10-9, at the midway point of the opening quarter, but the Warriors went on a 10-3 run to close out the period to lead 20-12 after 10 minutes of action. In the second quarter, the Warriors kept up the pressure and extended their lead at the break, 47-34. The hot shooting of the TiJanae' Simmons, 12 points on 4 of 8 three pointers made, kept the Bulldogs in the game. The Warriors forced the Bulldogs into 12 turnovers, which they turned into 12 points.
Coming out of the locker room, the Bulldogs played even with the Warriors for much of the 3rd quarter, but a late run by the Warriors allowed them to extend their lead 72-56. In the fourth quarter, the Bulldog defense couldn't stop the Warrior offense. The Warriors ran away with the final period 18-5 and finished off the Bulldogs 90-61.

With the loss, the Bulldogs are now 16-13 overall, and 13-10 in KCAC play. They will wrap up the regular season on Saturday with a trip to Tabor College. Tip-off is slated for 5:00 pm in Hillsboro, Kan.
