McPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson College Bulldogs dropped a conference matchup to York, 5-0 Wednesday (Oct. 18) at McPherson Stadium.
The Panthers scored early and often, netting four goals in the opening frame. Sofia Villa Monterd scored in the 12th minute, then Gracie Reynolds made it a 2-0 Panther lead 12 minutes later. Lucia Tornero added to the York total with a goal in the 33rd minute, then Maisie Briscoe tacked on one more with just over a minute left in the half.
York pushed their lead to 5-0 with a goal by Cleo Paris in the 68th minute.
The Panthers outshot MC 19-5 with a 12-3 advantage on-goal. Kelcie Turner, Emily Segura, and Olivia Rodriguez each finished with a shot on target.
Lauren Kunda made three saves in the first half of the contest, while Elizabeth Scheuerman came on at the break and made four saves while allowing just one goal.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday (Oct. 21) as they travel to Ottawa. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
