OTTAWA, Kan. — The McPherson College men's soccer team traveled to Ottawa Saturday (Oct. 21) but fell 4-1 to the Braves.
The Braves wasted no time putting points on the board, scoring just over three minutes into the contest. That score would hold through the rest of the half.
OU made it a 2-0 advantage in the 56th minute, then Bence Molnar pushed the Braves lead to 3-0 less than five minutes later. Ottawa tacked on one more in the 77th minute.
Benedict Mbogga put the Bulldogs on the board late in the game, taking a through ball from Anthony Pereira and beating Braves goalkeeper Nicolo Cinelli for the goal.
The Braves outshot MC 31-7 with a 15-3 advantage on-goal. Mbogga, Eric Mendoza, and Ben Weekly each had one shot on target. Camden Wiseman got the call in net for the Bulldogs and stopped 11 shots.
The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday (Oct. 28) for Senior Night against Saint Mary. Kickoff is slated for 7:30, with Senior Night festivities coming before the game.
