McPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson College Bulldogs notched their second consecutive win Wednesday (Feb. 8) in a 59-39 rout over the Southwestern College Moundbuilders inside the Sport Center.
The Bulldogs were solid defensively from tipoff, forcing Southwestern into 30 turnovers and finishing with 16 steals for the second straight contest. They also held the Moundbuilders to 23.4 percent shooting and just 1-for-17 from beyond the arc.
Four Bulldogs scored in double figures, led by Tytiana Haamid with 12 points. Madelyn Hankins and Summer Kirkman each added 11 points, and Dy'mond McElrath scored 10 points and dished a team-high eight assists.
Denisha Anderson led the way for the Moundbuilders with 17 points and six rebounds.
The Bulldogs have the weekend off before returning to the hardwood on Wednesday (Feb. 15) for a date with Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m.
