BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — The McPherson College Bulldogs dropped a pair of conference games 11-3 and 9-1 Tuesday (Mar. 14) to the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles in Bartlesville, Okla.
Lauren Skinner put the Bulldogs on top in the opener with an RBI double to left field, scoring Amber Wood, then Tatyana Alvarado made it a 2-0 advantage with a single that brought Summer Garcia home. An infield single by Mackenzie Egan that drove in Skinner rounded out the scoring for the Bulldogs.
From there, the Eagles scored two in the third, four in the fourth, and five in the fifth for the win.
In the nightcap, the Bulldogs took another lead when Skinner drew a walk with the bases loaded. But from there, the Eagles plated eight in the bottom of the second.
The Bulldogs have the weekend off before retuning to Bulldog Park to take on York University next Wednesday (Mar. 22).
