McPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson College Bulldogs swept the Kansas Christian College Falcons in two games. Game one finished 11-1 in six innings, and game two finished 7-1 in three innings.
In both games, the Falcons scored a run early before opening the floodgates on the offensive sides. In game one, pitcher Raegan Kleppe recorded six strikeouts while allowing one run on four hits.
On the offensive side of the dish, eight of the nine starters recorded a hit. Mackenzie Egan had a triple, double, and RBI. Alexandria Garcia and Lauren Skinner both had three RBIs, with Garcia's coming from a walk-off home run in the bottom of the sixth. Lacy Weaver and Alyvia Quintana had two RBIs. And Amanda Ambrosy had a double.
In game two, it was the Lacy Weaver show. She finished the game with a triple, double, and three RBIs in only three innings. Nicole Martinez also recorded three RBIs with an inside-the-park home run. Summer Garcia also recorded an RBI. Pitcher Jordyn Johnson had one strikeout and allowed one run off four hits.
The Bulldogs are now in sixth place in the KCAC with a conference record of 7-5, 14-12 on the year. They travel to Salina on Tuesday (Apr. 11) to take on Kansas Wesleyan.
