HILLSBORO, Kan. — The McPherson College Bulldogs women's soccer fell in their KCAC opener 5-1 Wednesday (Sep. 13) on the road at Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kan.
The Bluejays finished with 12 shots and put eight of them on net, led by Makenna Torea with two shots-on-goal.
Tabor wasted no time by scoring less than three minutes into the game. They pushed their lead to 2-0 in the 21st minute.
The Bulldogs found the back of the net at the 24:10 mark of the first half when Emily Segura stole the ball from the defense, then fired a shot from 15-yards out, to help MC go into halftime with a one goal deficit.
However, from there it was all Bluejays, scoring three time in the second half.
Elizabeth Scheuerman got the start in net for the Bulldogs and made three saves.
The Bulldogs remain on the road Sunday (Sep. 17) as they travel to Kansas City, Mo. to take on Avila Univeristy.
