Women’s Soccer Falls to Ottawa In Home Finale

McPHERSON, Kan. — The Bulldogs found themselves on the wrong end of the decision in their final home game of the season, falling to the Ottawa University Braves on Saturday afternoon (Oct 26) by a score of 5-1.

The lone goal for MC came in 79 minutes as Caitlin Buendia knocked in her team leading ninth goal of the year. McPherson had their chances at slimming down the deficit with an additional four shots on goal, but none of them were able to find the back of the net.

Ottawa was led by Makayla Remanente-Bailey and Liv Staberg who both scored a pair of goals in the early portion of the game. Riley Smith recorded the other goal for the Braves.

The Bulldogs have one final game on their schedule as they hit the road for a matchup against Saint Mary. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
