McPherson, Kan. – The Bulldogs were back at Holman Fieldhouse on Wednesday night for a matchup with the Coyotes of Kansas Wesleyan University. McPherson entered the contest riding a 24-game win streak, while the Coyotes looked to extend their own streak to three.

How it Happened
McPherson took an early 2-0 lead in the opening set, but the Coyotes quickly evened the score at 3-3. The teams traded points until McPherson pulled ahead 16-7 behind strong play from
Kaylee Stegora and
Brooke McHale, who each tallied three kills in the stretch. The Bulldogs continued to dominate, closing out the set 25-15 with kills from McHale,
Tori Buss, and
Enya Fierens to take a 1-0 lead.
Kansas Wesleyan struck first in the second set on a McPherson attacking error, but
Katie Warden answered immediately to tie things up. The Bulldogs regained control with key kills from Fierens and McHale, then extended their lead as Warden delivered four more kills. Fierens sealed the set with her seventh kill of the night, giving McPherson a 2-0 advantage.
The Bulldogs opened the third set with a dominate 9-0 run – their second-longest of the night – forcing an early Coyote timeout. McPherson maintained its momentum, matching Kansas Wesleyan point for point down the stretch. Warden capped off the sweep with a decisive kill to secure the 3-0 victory.
Warden led the Bulldog attack with 13 kills and a .407 hitting percentage, while Fierens added two aces two blocks. McHale anchored the defense with 13 digs to pace the back line.
