Jeff Benito Returns to McPherson as Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach

McPherson, Kan - Director of Athletics Josh Daume announced today the hiring of Jeff Benito as the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach for McPherson College. Benito returns to McPherson after previously serving in the same role from 2011-2014.

"We're excited to welcome Jeff back to McPherson College and to the McPherson tennis community," stated Daume. "He brings a wealth of tennis knowledge and experience, and we're confident he'll be a great leader of our tennis program."

Most recently, Benito served as Player Manager/Senior Leader for American College Placement following a stint as a Senior Tennis Recruiting Coach for NCSA-IMG College Recruiting. Prior to those roles, he served in coaching roles at Marymount University, the University of the Pacific, Cypress College, and Cowley College.

"Coach Benito brings with him over 20 years of experience building and elevating competitive tennis programs. He's familiar with the KCAC and knows the recruiting landscape very well," Daume continued. "We know he'll hit the ground running and be a tremendous asset to our college and the local tennis community."

"I'd like to thank Josh Daume, President Michael Schneider, and everyone involved in this process for their confidence in me and the opportunity to return to McPherson College," said Benito. "I'm truly grateful for the trust they've placed in me, and it's an honor to be back as part of the Bulldog family.

"McPherson College has a proud tradition of excellence, and I look forward to building on that foundation while continuing the culture of excellence that has become synonymous with Bulldog Athletics. I'm excited to work alongside our student-athletes, alumni, and supporters as we continue moving the program forward."

In addition to leading the college programs, Benito plans to be very involved in local tennis programming, camps, and lessons.

Benito earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of La Verne and a master's degree from California Baptist University.
