Crete, Nebraska – The McPherson Bulldogs Women's Soccer team remained undefeated on the season with a win at Doane on Saturday afternoon. This is the first year since 2016 that the Bulldogs have started the season with three straight wins.

How it Happened
The first half was scoreless for both teams, with McPherson only getting off four shots, including one from
Jordyn Smith that hit off the crossbar just before halftime. Doane would score first just five minutes into the second half to take a 1-0 lead.
A Bulldog corner kick in the 62
nd minute would lead to a goal from
Baylee Simmelink, assisted by
Emma Hylton to give McPherson their first goal of the afternoon and tie the game up. In the 72
nd minute, goalie
Emily Singletary would send a kick over midfield, and
Jordyn Smith would break away from the group to charge downfield, shake off one defender and find the back of the net to claim the lead. Just a minute later,
Brianna Finch would send a deep ball into the goal, scoring from almost 40 yards out off an assist from
Kennedy Halter.

The Bulldogs return to action Wednesday, September 9 when they host Central Christian College at Brubaker Family Stadium. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
