Bulldog Tennis Center Project

During the 2019-20 academic year, three new tennis courts were added to the campus footprint directly to the east of the existing Doris Coppock Courts. Phase one of the project included pouring a post-tension concrete slab for the three new courts, and resurfacing the three existing courts. A new 20' fence was added between the new courts and the grass soccer field to the north. New wind screens with Bulldog logos have been ordered and will be installed in  fall 2020.

Phase two of construction on the Bulldog Tennis Center is set to begin when funding is secured. Once complete, Bulldog tennis fans will be treated to eye-popping amenities that will provide a relaxed atmosphere where they can enjoy Bulldog tennis matches in a new way. The plaza area, nestled between the Doris Coppock courts and the newly constructed Holman Family courts, will boast a spacious elevated viewing area overlooking the courts.

Tying the past to the present, the plaza area will pay homage to the nine KCAC team championships, the numerous individual accolades, and Bulldog tennis supporters through a prominently positioned Wall of Fame honor board, with adequate space for future championships and individual achievements.

Aesthetically, fans will be drawn to the beauty of this new facility through the landscaping that blends the old with the new in one seamless and cohesive look. The cedar trees lining the south side of the Coppock courts will be removed and new landscaping will be added to line both sets of courts.
