Andrew Herrera is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Bulldog baseball program. He comes to the MC program after playing two years at KCAC rival Sterling. A right-handed pitcher, Herrera was named First Team All-KCAC in 2014 after compiling a 3-1 record and a 3.41 ERA in 37 innings. He was also part of the 2016 Sterling squad that qualified for the Avista-NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho.
Prior to Sterling, Herrera played at the College of San Mateo in San Mateo, California. There he was a first-team all-league pick and was runner-up for league pitcher of the year honors.
Originally from San Jose, California, Herrera graduated from Sterling in May 2016 with a bachelor's degree in public relations. He currently resides in McPherson.
