Nathan Robl

Nathan Robl will be entering his sixth season as an Assistant Coach for McPherson College Baseball, and with this being his fourth season as the Hitting Coach.
 
Coaching Highlights

Coach Robl has been a mainstay on the Bulldogs’ Baseball staff for the last 6 years. In 2026, the Bulldogs' offense continued to be one of the best in the country, finishing in the Top 20 in many offensive categories. Hitting .326 with a .970 OPS as a team, also eclipsing the Century mark in the Doubles Category. The 2026 Bulldogs set a couple of new records, most notably Runs in a Single Game (32 runs) and Single Season Triples (19). While having 6 All-Conference Selections offensively. Including 1st Team Catcher (Connor Baker) and Designated Hitter (Marcus Patton). In the 2024 and 2025 seasons, the Bulldog offense saw year-to-year increases in Runs, Hits, Doubles, Home Runs, Batting Average, On-Base Percentage, and Slugging Percentage. Also eclipsing 100 Stolen Bases in every season, while setting the Single Season Stolen Base Record in 2024. With the 2025 squad hitting over 200 extra-base hits.

Before taking over as Hitting Coach, Robl was an assistant hitting coach with his main priority being catching development, while being an integral part of a staff that led the Bulldogs to the 2023 KCAC Tournament Championship, back-to-back NAIA Opening Round appearances (2022/2023), while helping guide the Bulldogs to their only 40-win season in 2022.

During his time at McPherson College, Coach Robl has helped develop 2 NAIA All-Americans, Antonio Fernandez (2023) and Trevor Johnson (2022). Along with 13 All-KCAC Selections, including most recently Jace Essig, Peyton Starr, and Marcus Patton.

Playing Highlights
Before joining the staff, Robl was a catcher for the Bulldogs from 2017 to 2021.
