Padraic Walsh will be entering his third season as an Assistant Baseball Coach for McPherson College. Walsh assists in coaching pitchers, outfielders, and is the Bulldogs First Base Coach.

Coaching Highlights
Padraic Walsh has served as an assistant baseball coach at McPherson College since 2023. During his time, 40 student-athletes have graduated while part of the baseball program. Walsh played a key role in helping Bulldog pitchers finish 17th in the nation in team strikeouts during the 2024-25 season, and he has coached multiple All-Conference selections, including Jace Essig, Fransico Paradis, Marcus Patton, and Peyton Starr.

He has been instrumental in the team surpassing 100 stolen bases in consecutive seasons, setting a program record with 129 stolen bases in 2024, as well as coaching Jace Essig to the single-season stolen base record of 29 that same year. Serving as the Bulldogs’ outfield coach in 2024-25, Walsh coached one Gold Glove winner Jace Essig.

Playing Highlights
Before beginning his coaching career, Padraic Walsh was a right-handed pitcher at Fort Hays State University in the 2020-22 seasons and Dodge City Community College from 2018-19, where he earned All-Jayhawk West Honorable Mention honors in 2018. Across his collegiate career, Walsh logged 200 innings and made 30 starts. A graduate of Smoky Hill High School, he earned three varsity letters in baseball and received all-league honors as a senior (2015-17).
