McPherson College Athletics

E.J. Peterson comes from Monroe, Iowa and joined the McPherson College football coaching staff in 2012 as the linebackers coach.  He also serves as the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator and was promoted to Defensive Coordinator in 2014.

Peterson comes to MC after playing linebacker, defensive end and special teams for the Iowa Barnstormers, an arena football team in the Arena Football League located in Des Moines, Iowa.

Peterson graduated from Grand View University in 2011 with a Bachelors in Health Promotions Fitness Management.  He played for the Vikings in 2009-2010 and was named first team all-conference both years; Peterson was also named a First-Team NAIA All-American in 2010.

Prior to Grand View, Peterson attended Iowa Central Community College from 2007-2009 with an Associate of Arts degree, playing football for both years.
