Jimmy Wilson enters his first season as the McPherson outside linebackers coach in 2018 and second overall with the program after coaching the defensive line in 2017.

Wilson played on the defensive line and at linebacker for McPherson for two seasons (2013-14) after spending two seasons at Bakersfield (Calif.). As a senior, he led the Bulldogs in tackles (88), including 52 solo stops, four sacks, 19 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and five pass breakups. For his efforts, Wilson was voted to the All-KCAC first team and USA College Football All-America first team. He was named to the All-KCAC second team in 2013.

Wilson earned a Bachelor of Science in physical education from McPherson in 2014.

An Oakland, Calif., native, Wilson attended Skyline High School.
