Following the 2013 season, Steve Fox accepted the head coaching position for Bulldog football.  He spent the previous two years as the team’s defensive coordinator; in 2012 MC finished 10th in the Nation in total defense

Prior to joining the McPherson College football program, Fox spent a season at Oklahoma Panhandle State University where he served as D-coordinator.  OPSU finished the season second in the NCAA Division II in total and pass defense, allowing 256.2 total yards and 138.8 passing yards per game.

Prior to OPSU, Fox was the secondary coach at Howard Payne University (Texas) from 2008-2010 and coached at West Texas A&M University in 2007, also as the secondary coach.  The West Texas A&M Buffs went 12-1 and won the Lone Star Conference Championship in 2007.

Having coached at Tabor College (Kan.) in 2006, Fox is not new to the KCAC.  TC set the school record in rush defense, holding opponents to 86 rush yards per game when he was their defensive line coach.  From 2004-2005, Fox was the linebackers coach of Abilene Christian University (Texas) and helped turn the program into a top 10 team in the NCAA D-II.

An Odessa, Texas native, Fox played at Odessa High School during the “Friday Night Lights” era.  He received his Bachelors degree in Physical Education from Abilene Christian University (Texas) in 2006 and his Masters in Sports Management from California Pennsylvania in 2007.

Fox is the father of three, daughters Breanna age 16 and Alyssa age 7, and his newborn son Easton.
