Jessica Cleveland enters her third season as the McPherson head volleyball coach in 2018. Her school and career record entering the campaign is 43-24.

In 2017, Cleveland guided the Bulldogs to a 22-12 overall record, including a 15-7 mark in KCAC play, establishing new school records for wins overall and in league play, and a berth in the KCAC Tournament semifinals. Four players (one first team, one second team, two third team) were named All-KCAC. Cleveland coached one player that was voted AVCA-NAIA All-West Central Region honorable mention.

Off the court, four players were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, and the squad earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for a second-straight season. 

In her first season at the helm, Cleveland led the Bulldogs to a then-school-record 21 wins and a berth in the KCAC Tournament semifinals. Three players (one first team, one second team, one honorable mention) were named to the All-KCAC squads. 

Off the court, the Bulldogs earned an AVCA Team Academic Award.

Cleveland came to McPherson after five seasons as head coach at nearby Hesston (Kan.).

In her final two seasons at Hesston, she accumulated a record of 42-20 against a very strong NJCAA Jayhawk Conference.

Cleveland was also the fitness director of the Hesston Wellness Center for four years.

A Nebraska native, Cleveland graduated from Hesston in 2006 before attending Friends (Kan.), where she earned a Bachelor of Science in health management in 2008. She received a Master's degree in exercise science from Wichita State in 2010.
