Mike Gant will be entering his first season as the Defensive Line coach for McPherson College.
Coaching Highlights
Prior to McPherson College, Coach Gant served as the Defensive Line coach at fellow KCAC member Bethel College in 2024. In just one season there, he coached a defensive line unit where all four of his starters made All-KCAC lists. That list would include First Team defensive tackle Ernest Ferrier. Before jumping into the college coaching game, Gant worked at Elite Academy in St. Louis, Missouri as a D- Line trainer. Here, Coach Gant worked with numerous NCAA Division I defensive lineman and high school athletes who went on to sign to Division I and II schools all around the country.
Playing Highlights
As a player, Gant played defensive tackle for Harding University, a prestigious football program located in Searcy, Arkansas. During his time at Harding, Gant was the starting defensive tackle and was a part of two defenses during his years that ranked among the best in multiple categories in Division II. Gant then went on to play professional arena football from 2021 to 2024. During his pro career he played and performed against top talent and offensive lineman from all around the country.
