Box Score Sterling, Kan. – The Sterling College Warriors swept the McPherson College volleyball team on the road Saturday afternoon in Sterling, Kan., 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-14).
The loss drops McPherson’s record to 4-10 (3-4 KCAC), while the Warriors improved to 9-7 (3-2 KCAC).
Freshman Natalie Boss led the Bulldogs with eight kills. Boss hit .313 for the match and was followed in kills by Tiffany Rooker with five. Defensive specialist Savannah Sievers led the defense with 10 digs in the effort.
As a team, the Bulldogs struggled offensively hitting .077 with 27 kills on 91 attempts.
Sterling played efficiently against McPherson, hitting .333 for the match and limiting their errors to five. Katie Trayser led the Warriors with 10 kills.
The Bulldogs looks to rebound in their next match Tuesday, Oct. 6, against Southwestern College. The match is set to start at 7:00 p.m.
