                    Box Score McPherson, Kan. – The Bulldogs offense exploded for three first half  goals in a 4-0 rout of Central Christian College in the 3rd annual  S.O.C.R. benefit game Wednesday evening at McPherson Stadium.
“Offensively  we are really starting to come together,” said McPherson head coach  Doug Quint. “Tonight we created so many quality chances to score. Alex  Toro really controlled the pace of play in the mid-field for us  tonight.”
“I thought we were spot on defensively as well. This is  our fourth shutout of the season and overall we have only allowed three  goals. We take pride in our defending and holding a team to only one  shot on goal is quite an achievement.”
McPherson dominated play  holding an edge in shots 27-5. McPherson goalkeeper Blake Jett earned  his fifth win of the season, recording one save in 45 minutes of work. 
The  win improves the Bulldogs record to 5-1.
With the game scoreless  in the 20th minute, Alex Toro played a thru ball past three Tiger  defenders to Brent Mulford who struck the ball past the diving keeper  into the back of the net. 
The Bulldogs doubled their lead seven  minutes later. Trent Lawrence dribble through a hole in the Central  defense, but was taken down inside the penalty area. Mulford stepped up  to the spot to take the penalty kick and blasted it into the upper right  corner for his team leading sixth goal of the season.
MC struck  for the third time in the 35th minute. Andrew Suits dribbled in, pulling  the goalkeeper off his line and passed back to the feet of Sam Tucker  who flicked the ball into the open net for his first collegiate goal of  his career. 
McPherson went into the half dominating the  possession and the tempo of the game. MC outshot the Tigers 22-2,  including 10 shots on goal.  
MC continued right where they had  left off, dominating possession to start the second half.
In the  60th minute, the Bulldogs struck again when Armando Rodriguez placed a  ball into the lower left corner to give McPherson the 4-0 lead. 
McPherson  returns to action Saturday, Sept. 26, when they travel to Manhattan  Christian College. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
